Nearly A Month In...

Well, it's nearly a month into college, and I'm already a bit behind in school work. Now how did THAT happen, you ask. Well let me tell you. I get quite a bit distracted with new friends and meeting more new people, parties, cable tv, my computer with people to talk to on aim/msn, e-mail, updating this blogger, facebook, games, random net surfing, picture uploading..., you get the idea. You can see why lots of reading and other homework and studying don't really tempt me. And I'm sure pretty much everyone reading this is prolly in about the same boat. But I think I gotta sit down and make a solid schedule for myself, of when to do homework, where I can CONCENTRATE on homework, and how to be able to focus on it. I think to that last one I've come up with a solution: coffee. I love the smell, despise the taste. But I've forced a couple down since living in Madison, and with lots of cream and sugar, I think I could get used to it. So that's my solution to also being able to stay up later to finish that homework I've procrastinated on. So what else is new with me? Well I celebrated my first Thirsty Thursday, and did it justice with my roommates. Good times there. My friend Willie came down to Madison with a couple of his curling buddies to visit me. We kept missing the movie by being too late, so we ended up cruising around, eating at Toppers, and mini-golfing. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday night. Friday night I went shopping on the shady east-side with the girls and bought waaaaaay too much. So we'll be taking a trip back there to return the damage I've caused to my checkbook. Oh! And the other weekend, I went back to GB for the weekend to see the big EAST/WEST game. We all knew it was gonna happen. And it did. We got smashed, crushed, stomped, you name it, by East. But that's okay. We all had a good time catching up with everyone, eating candy and the parade, and getting sunburnt anyways. Not to mention the Badger Band was fun to watch, as always, and the parachute drops with the game ball was a neat scene. Well kids, as much as I'd like to procrastinate some more, I'm gonna take the first step to moving forward: ending this entry!
